Nestea Beach

About Us

The ocean is an irreplaceable source of life – it serves as home to oceanic wildlife, produces half of the oxygen in the air and sustains multifaceted seaside economies. As the world slowly shifts towards going green, we all have a profound role in ensuring that the ocean remains healthy and brimming with life. Considering that the Philippines houses beaches that are unrivaled around the globe, it is our duty to ensure that all our shores are well-preserved to utmost perfection.

This 2017, NESTEA has decided to give back to the beaches we all love through a campaign that aims to Refresh the Beach. For more than 30 years of being present in the Philippines as the Number One Powdered Iced Tea in the market, NESTEA promises you three things – to continue providing you with the delicious, thirst-quenching goodness that it always brings, to offer you a uniquely relaxing experience, and to be a mainstay in helping refresh the beaches in the country

As upholders of Creating Shared Value (CSV), NESTEA ushers in the NESTEA #PlungeToPledge Campaign which is a fun and easy way for the youth to get involved in promoting environmental awareness. NESTEA aims to shed some light on the importance of our role in keeping the Philippine coasts healthy and safe by providing young and old alike with an avenue to give back. In partnership with various non-governmental organizations such as the Boracay Foundation Inc., Siargao Environmental Awareness Movement, Project Curma and the Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, NESTEA serves as the primary advocate in protecting and conserving our beloved Philippine beaches.

The NESTEA Plunge to Pledge campaign is an online voting system that encourages everyone to rally for their favorite beaches by getting citizens to pledge through the iconic NESTEA Plunge. The beaches included in the initiative are the White Beach of Boracay, Carrie Beach of La Union, White Beach of Puerto Galera and General Luna Beach of Siargao.

The uploaded NESTEA Plunge to Pledge videos will be tallied using a voting aggregator and the beach with the most pledges will be declared the recipient of the beach cleaning machine. In addition to that, NESTEA will be launching several advocacy strengthening activities such as fundraising programs, beach clean-ups and the spread of beach case study videos created together with our partner schools as informative tools in increasing awareness across the nation. School organizations such as the University of Santo Tomas Junior Marketing Association, De La Salle University Business Management Society, Ateneo AIESEC and the University of the Philippines Junior Marketing Association will work closely with NESTEA in promoting the cause. NESTEA Plunge to Pledge Booths can also be found around the metro to ensure that everyone will have a chance to partake in the campaign. Lastly, the first ever NESTEA Beach Eco-Awards will take place in Boracay as the final awarding ceremony.

By organizing volunteer efforts, generating innovative solutions in partnership with NGOs across the country and publicizing data that can help the the community better understand the condition of our coastal waters today, NESTEA is building a movement to help inspire all of us to start living cleaner. As part of Nestlé’s commitment to Creating Shared Value (CSV), the Plunge to Pledge Campaign is the first step towards promoting awareness that would hopefully lead to commitment. By working hand in hand with the private sectors and schools of the Philippines, NESTEA envisions sustainably well-maintained seas and a community that is aware and ready to create a positive impact towards our environmental duties.
